The federal government’s international travel advice and services have been merged into www.travel.gc.ca.  This website is a comprehensive source of information for Canadians travelling or living abroad.

Travel.gc.ca integrates regularly updated content and resources from 11 government partners, including CATSA, to help Canadians easily and efficiently find the information they need to make informed decisions about international travel.

The following list is intended to help you find the appropriate organization to help answer your questions when planning your trip and throughout the course of your travels.

Canadian Airlines

You may need to contact your airline for information about:

  • Tickets and flight itineraries
  • Baggage - weight, size, number of pieces allowed (carry-on and checked baggage)
  • Baggage complaints and inquiries (not related to security screening)
  • Identification requirements
  • Transportation of pets
  • Passenger escorts
  • What items can be transported in carry-on and checked baggage (even if an item is permitted by CATSA, if you have any questions or concerns, check with your air carrier)
