Description: CATSA will engage the Rick Hansen Foundation to assess the built environment at screening checkpoints, establishing a baseline for future enhancements.

Communication, other than information and communications technologies

Description: In response to feedback from organizations representing people with disabilities, CATSA has renamed the "Family/Special Needs" screening line to "Family and Accessible" line. All signage and communication materials at applicable airports will be updated to reflect this change.

Provisions of CTA accessibility-related regulations

CATSA must meet several operational, planning and reporting requirements in response to the Accessible Transportation for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (ATPDR), Accessible Transportation Planning and Reporting Regulations (ATPRR) and Accessible Canada Regulations (ACR). See Appendix A: Provisions of Accessibility-Related Regulations (ATPDR) and Appendix B: Provisions of Accessibility-Related Regulations (ACR and ATPRR) for an overview of regulations that apply to CATSA.
